FLOOR
SEVEN (or F7) – is a pop-rock band from St. Petersburg.
Before 2009 it was known as the Limelight.
The band's sound can be described as a mix of
many styles in dance electronic music. This is
New Wave and Synthpop, Electro and Pop-Rock, and
many others.
Members of the group - it is
absolutely multiple personalities, who grew up
on classic rock and electronics, absorbed new
wave and post-punk, techno and industrial. All
members have a vast experience in songwriting,
arranging and sound producing.
The leader of the band Gleb
Sparrow - is a singer, musician, composer,
arranger, sound producer, known for his work in
the group the Limelight (Synthpop / IDM) since
2004, when performed the song "Every Step That
I Make" on the third album, recorded in the studio
and released by Music Mag Studio on Resistance
music, as well as the album P.O. Angle
Sky. Prior to that, Gleb Sparrow worked
with a group of Oblivion.
The other band members have a
lot of records in different styles and directions
(from metal and industrial to IDM and Synthpop).
Vladimir Kalmykov (Z)
and Mikhail Kalmykov (VS)
are known for their projects Eonic
(New Age, Ambient) and the N-616
(Electro - Industrial) from 2013 are working on
the songs only in the studio. Viktoria
Dmitrieva and Sergey Charkin
joined the team in 2010. Their experience of playing
on the big stage and classical music education
made in live performances and recording a new
sound. In 2015 the drummer Evgeny Bykovsky
joined the band. Now the band is working on
a new concert material and consist of 3 members: Gleb
Sparrow, Vladimir Kalmykov and Viktoria
Dmitrieva.
Group acts in Russia and abroad,
on TV, radio, live. Musicians were special guests
at the concert of the German synth-pop group Melotron,
at the presentation of the Russian edition of
the album ReCoil of Alan Wilder (Depeche Mode)
in Moscow. In mid-2010 Promo EP Pre [RenderedDreams]
was issued, which included previously unreleased
singles, supplemented by multimedia session with
the bonus singles and music video for the song
"You Create".

released on compilations such studios as Synth
Radio Russians, Synthematika, Elektro Sektor,
DepecheMatika etc.
By 2011 the group has been working
on the album [RenderedDreams],
which included songs, regularly performed at concerts
in recent years, as well as the group released
6 singles.
The album [RenderedDreams]
is highly-charged with creative power that helps
FLOOR SEVEN to conquer hearts of listeners and
viewers, and also wins recognition among experts
in music business in Russia and abroad. Mixed
under the direction of one of the best producers
of European pop music elite. Before this album
the band also successfully played live shows accompanied
by exclusive video installations during biggest
dance events and electronic music festivals, including
live performances on same scene with such stars
like Alan Wilder (Depeche Mode), Mesh, Beborn
Beton, Diorama etc.
"To the Top Floor"
album released in 2013 is a collection of remixes
and rare tracks. The publication includes a new
cover version of the hit group Camouflage "The
Great Commandment", have been approved by the
creators of the song personally.
In 2014 it was isued two tracks,
which includs into the Synth Radio Russians compilation.
It's a cover versions of well known hits "Hurt"
and "Promised Land Blues". In 2019 the single "In Chains" was released. Now
the band is working on a new predominantly Russian
language album. Almost all songs
are available for users of iTunes, Spotify, Google
Play and many other resources.
